North to Alaska
Watching The World Go By From the Deck
Alaska offers a unique opportunity to enjoy something very special. It has lots of new and different sights and experiences. Alaska is about 1/2 the size of the USA with 3 million lakes, but it is still a real frontier with very few people. Anchorage, the largest city is only about 700k, and Fairbanks the 2nd largest city includes far less than 100k. We’re looking forward to beginning our tour in the northern most spot (less than 15 miles from the North Pole).
Besides seeing all the natural beauty, we’re planning on enjoying all the amenities and our 2 weeks together.
Living Life, Until There Ain’t No More
Since we will be heading to our home in the Adirondacks for an extended stay, I hope to get lots of photos of our upcoming adventures, including nature and our daily adventures.
Between now and our cruise, we’ll continue our home and dining out adventures as well as our holiday celebrations. See some of our usual haunts and interests below.
It Began June 1st
Complete Video, with photos and live video
I’m producing 3 comprehensive videos for the two weeks. The First set is a series of shows and includes our tugging and lugging, as well as the plane, trains and buses we took during the first week. The shows include photos from the original shows as well as many outtakes. We traveled many hours over a great distance but we really got to see Alaska up close and personal. The final scenes include our first day on the cruise ship.
Both week’s shows are 40+ minutes but include all the regular and outtakes. I believe they show the whole story, hope you enjoy them if you get to see it all. A time we’ll treasure always.
The 2nd is our train trip to the cruise ship and all the fun we had during our cruise. The 3rd is simply the day we spent in Vancouver, BC enjoying our layover and a day of rest. The final uploads will be posted when Wifi time permits, as I haven’t had the air time while traveling.
